Exploring Toronto: My Itinerary

Ontario was the first province I visited since I moved to Vancouver, BC. I have family in Toronto, so I didn't have to spend money on a hotel, food, or transportation. It's definitely a benefit to have family all over the place. We went in September, and the 4.5-hour flight wasn't too bad. The weather was perfect - not too cold, not too hot.

We only stayed for a few days, so we focused on visiting all the touristy spots in Toronto. First stop was Downtown Toronto. Let me tell you, I fell in love with this city more than Vancouver. The skyscrapers are massive, the buildings are impressive, and the nightlife is exciting. The city lights up at night and it's beautiful to see. We tried to check out the CN Tower, but it was closed by the time we got there. We walked around downtown, and took a pic at the Toronto sign. Overall, Toronto is bigger and more beautiful than downtown Vancouver.

The following day, we had the opportunity to visit one of the most famous waterfalls in the world: Niagara Falls. It was a dream come true for me, as I had always wanted to see this incredible natural place in person. When we arrived, the view of the falls was absolutely breathtaking! You could see both the American and Canadian sides, which were massive in comparison to the American side. One of the must-do activities at Niagara Falls is taking a boat ride to get up close with the falls. The boat takes you right to the base of the falls, providing you with rain caps to cover yourself from the water spray. The view from beneath the falls was truly spectacular, an experience I would definitely do again. However, the highlight of the tour was witnessing a rainbow form right before our eyes, creating a perfect backdrop for a memorable photo. In addition to the falls, Niagara Falls also offers a fun theme park with various rides. We decided to take a ride on the giant Ferris wheel, which offered a stunning view of the falls from above. At night, the falls are illuminated with different colors, creating a magical sight. To add some excitement to our visit, we also explored a haunted mansion. It turned out to be more fun than scary, but it was a great way to end our day at Niagara Falls.

The next day, we visited the Royal Ontario Museum. I absolutely love this museum - it's massive and has so many awesome exhibits, like dinosaur fossils and Egyptian mummies. They even have a Fantastic Beasts exhibition! Just make sure to check out their current exhibits, as they can change throughout the season. After the museum, we checked out the University of Toronto. The architecture is stunning - you'll feel like you're at Hogwarts school of magic from Harry Potter. It's definitely worth a visit to take some cool pics. Later that night, we headed to the Scotiabank Arena for a concert. It's a huge arena, but honestly, it didn't seem too different from others I've been to.

And that's how my Toronto journey came to an end. It's a beautiful city that's definitely worth a visit if you're in Canada or outside.
