My Experience in The Grand Canyon
What's the Grand Canyon? It's a huge canyon in Arizona that was carved out by the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters).
In 2020, I went on a road trip with my family from Los Angeles to Arizona, passing through Las Vegas. The drive to the Grand Canyon was really cool, with lots of desert views. I recommend stopping to take a picture with the desert in the background - it's so pretty!
When we got to the Grand Canyon, I was so excited. I had only seen pictures of it before, but in person, it was even more amazing. We went in December, so it was really cold. Make sure to bring warm clothes if you go in winter season.
When we got to the Grand Canyon National Park and I walked to the viewpoint and saw the canyon, I was speechless. It was even more beautiful than I imagined. The view was unreal, like something out of a movie.
It was so peaceful standing there, looking out at the canyon. I felt really blessed to be there. And I even saw eagles flying above the canyon - it was so cool!
There's a small museum where you can learn more about the Grand Canyon. And of course, you have to take lots of pictures - the view is incredible.
If you're planning a road trip from Los Angeles, I suggest stopping in Las Vegas first and then heading to the Grand Canyon. It took us about 3 days to get there, staying one night in Nevada and one night in Arizona near the Grand Canyon.
Trust me, visiting this beauty is an experience you won't forget. It's a place where you can see some of the coolest sights on Earth.
